To make some pretty Diwali candles to adorn your homes, invest in a good quality of paraffin wax to start. If you are unable to get some of it, you can also make use of used candle pieces at your home. Add the wax or candle bits to a steel pot and melt it till it liquefies. Add your desired colours and beautiful fragrances or essential oils to the mixture and stir it.
Once all these blend in together, add this molten wax to a mould and dip in a wick so as to enable the candle to be lit. You can use any moulds as you desire. Use tall cylindrical ones or shorter attractively shaped ones.
On drying, remove them out of the moulds to have your candles ready for use. To add to the festive touch of diwali, use bright colours and glitter in your candles as well. Experiment with flower petals like rose etc. as well.
