A
‘known fact’, which seems to have prevailed since time immemorial, is that it
is difficult to shop for men. Birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions come
and go, nevertheless, choices of gifts for men is more or less limited to
gadgets, apparels and accessories. Oftentimes, it helps to have a hobby when
the quest for the ideal manly gift turns out to be fruitless. Men, who
categorically choose to pursue their hobbies for the love of it, deserve a
gift, which supports that.
Chess: Men who like
to jog their brains, more often than not, like to play chess. An elegant
crystal chess set or the classic wooden one would be an awesome gift for
them. To give it a personal touch, customize it in a way that would impress
him a lot.
Music: Some men aspire to have music band of their own. If not a band,
the least you can gift him is an instrument he likes to play. Encourage him to
learn the instrument by getting him enrolled for lessons if possible.
Collector: If the man has a knack for collecting something in particular,
such as stamps, vintage coins, old/rare movie posters, comic books, etc., show
your thoughtful side by finding those gifts for men.
Photography: It is one of the most common hobbies, which men like to pursue
with great interest. A DSLR camera or the latest camera lens would suffice as a
gift.
Painting: Art lovers are not that hard to locate, as everything about them
would be arty. Prepare a gift basket comprising of a colour palette, colours, a
set of painting brushes, sheets and other required stationeries to surprise him
with these gifts for him. Awe him by sending a charming wooden easel
separately.
A hobby
is such a wonderful thing to have. Although, many consider ‘leisure time’ as an
opportunity to do precisely nothing, well, they could not have been more wrong.
It seems as more of a known fact that ‘hobbies’ and ‘men’ don’t go down that
well, and that, men don’t think it’s ‘manly’ to have hobbies. Men watching
sports, playing video games, being busy with their gadgets, though
stereotypical, seem normal than a man who likes to knit. However, men who like
to go after their passion for pleasurable pass times know that none of gifts
for men gives them that significant joy. Not even their prosperous careers
bring them that satisfaction, which they get from their favourite hobbies.
